This season the Real Madrid fans have been able to enjoy Karim Benzema at his most potent infront of goal. The French forward is averaging one goal per game and he is the team's second highest goalscorer, behind Cristiano Ronaldo. In his 18 appearances, Benzema has found the net on 18 occasions.
Benzema, who has also been linking up well with his team-mates, averages a goal a game at this stage of the season, something that he has never previously achieved in his career. 14 of his strikes have come in La Liga and 4 in the Champions League. The Frenchman has found the target in 11 games, and in eight of these he was the man to open the scoring.
