Basel win seventh successive Swiss title

Basel clinched their seventh successive Swiss title with five games to spare last season. Basel have had five different coaches since their seven-title run began and the title was the first for Urs Fischer, who replaced Paulo Sousa at the end of last season. Grasshoppers remain Switzerland's most successful club domestically with 27 league titles, followed by Basel on 19. Four days after being relegated to the second tier in Switzerland, Zurich bounced back by claiming their ninth Swiss Cup title. Here is the short summary for the 2015/16 season:

Vaduz qualified for the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round by winning the 2015/16 Liechtenstein Cup.
