The former Real keeper won European club football's most coveted prize in 2014 when Los Blancos defeated Atletico Madrid in Lisbon, with Casillas looking for a similar result when the teams come head to head again in Milan.

"Hopefully we will see a repeat of the final in Lisbon. Let's see if the season will end well for the club, if they can't win the league then let's hope they win the Champions League," he said.

The Real legend believes lots of the positive work coming from the team is down to new head coach Zinedine Zidane, as the club chase a league and Champions league double.

"We now see a Real Madrid side in which few believed in two months ago, it's clear a big part of the team's turnaround has been down to the head coach."

Following his departure from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, many have craved a full explanation as to the circumstances in which he left, with the Spanish international declaring he will reveal it all in the future.
