Zinedine Zidane has convinced Florentino Perez that he's the right man for the job and will stay with Real Madrid, as confirmed by many club sources during the last couple of weeks.

While the Frenchman did not obtain the results expected throughout his first few games, he has now managed to get his team to the Champions League final and also kept fighting for La Liga title until the very end.

Zidane became first-team coach replacing Rafa Benitez and recovered the fans' support after the Spaniard's inconsistent months.

Perez and the rest of the board now believe they have the right man for the job, after the five months he has completed with a squad that was on the verge of falling apart.

The president has always believed in Zidane and while his arrival to the first team was not expected to happen this soon, the Frenchman has delivered and proved that Perez had reasons to believe in him.

Zidane has been thinking about how next year's team will look, and every decision about transfers and signings will be made after asking his opinion on the matter.

He is under contract until the summer of 2018 and boardroom confidence and support is what matters the most in his relationship with the club.
