Zinedine Zidane's name is already the stuff of Champions League legend after his remarkable volley helped Real Madrid win the 2002 final, but on Saturday he has the chance to make himself even more memorable.

The Frenchman is aiming to join an illustrious list of people, so far numbering six, that have won Europe's elite trophy both as a player and a coach.

If his side beat Atletico Madrid, the former midfielder will become part of an exclusive club of professionals.

The man who opened this elite club did so with Real Madrid himself, Miguel Munoz winning an incredible five European Cups during his time at Los Blancos, three as a player and two as a coach.

In 1985, Giovanni Trapattoni joined him, winning the trophy with AC Milan to follow up his 1963 victory as a Juventus player.

Next up was Johan Cruyff, bringing home Barcelona's first silverware in the competition after winning it with Ajax while playing.

Carlo Ancelotti - the man who was Real Madrid coach just a year ago - also achieved the feat, lifting the trophy twice with AC Milan in his playing days before masterminding La Decima at Madrid.

Fifth up was Frank Rijkaard, who followed in Cruyff's footsteps by winning the European Cup as a player with Ajax and coach of Barcelona, having also tasted glory playing for Milan.
